What we collect

  • Order info: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone (if given), and items purchased.
  • Account info: if you create an account, your email and login details. Accounts are optional, and you can check out as a guest.
  • Payment info: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Device and usage info: IP address, browser, pages viewed, and referral or ad-click data, collected with cookies and similar tech.
  • Messages: anything you send to support, including photos for refund requests.

How we use it

  • To process, ship, and support your orders, including refunds
  • To send order emails (confirmation, shipping, refunds)
  • To run and secure the site and prevent fraud
  • To calculate sales tax
  • To measure and improve our ads

Who we share it with

We share only what’s needed with service providers who work for us:

  • Stripe: payments and sales tax
  • Fulfillment partners and carriers: to pack and deliver your order
  • Supabase: account login and our database
  • Resend: sending emails
  • Google Cloud and Cloudflare: hosting, storage, and security
  • Google Ads: ad measurement. With enhanced conversions, we send a hashed (scrambled) version of your email so Google can match purchases to ad clicks.

We don’t sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with Google for ad measurement may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws, and you can opt out (see below).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a business sale or transfer.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep the site working (like your cart and login) and for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Your choices and rights

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted ads, visit Your Privacy Choices or use the “Cookie preferences” button in the site footer. We treat the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you, and get a copy
  • Correct or delete it
  • Opt out of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising
  • Not be treated differently for using these rights

To make a request, email support@mikesboteek.com. We’ll verify your identity before acting on it. There is no self-serve deletion form; an admin runs the deletion after we confirm the request. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, but we’ll still send emails about your orders.

When we delete your data we:

  • Remove your account profile name and email, saved cart, support messages, guest order-lookup links, and site activity tied to your account or those visits
  • Keep the order and refund records we need for taxes and accounting, but strip personal details: name, phone, and address are removed, and the email is replaced with a non-working placeholder. We keep amounts, tax, items, order status, and payment-processor ids
  • Clear ad-click ids we stored on the order (gclid, gbraid, and wbraid)
  • Clear refund photos and free-text reasons
  • Log that a deletion happened (when, and a hashed version of the email) without storing the email itself

How long we keep it

We delete or anonymize personal data when you ask. Anonymized order and refund records stay as long as we need them for taxes, accounting, and the law. We then delete or further dispose of them.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.

Children

The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
